The 25-year-old, who moved to Dortmund on a one-season loan this summer, has put the pen on paper on a contract until June 30, 2023.
“I am very satisfied in Dortmund, in the BVB and in this glorious team,” Alcacer said on the club’s website. “Borussia Dortmund have been and is precisely the right resolution for me. I’ll do everything I can to thank you for your trust!”
Alcácer struggled to make an effect during his two seasons at Barcelona, but had a methodical start in his career at Dortmund. The former Valencia player and Getafe set a new Bundesliga record by scoring his eighth goal in just 218 minutes. on the field against Bayern Munich on the 11th, and lately scores a goal every 29 minutes.
“Today we informed Barcelona that we would take the option to buy Paco,” said Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc. “Paco is wholehearted with us, temporarily joined and has become an integral component of our team. He’s a real top scorer of quality football, and he already has vital matches for us. We expect many more goals and assistance from Paco in the coming years. “

Alcacer’s rich form earned him his first call-up to the Spanish national team in almost two years. His purple spot continued in the friendly on 11 October against Wales, scoring two goals. Goals were the first for his country since scoring twice against Luxembourg in September 2015.
