Barcelona would be very positive about sealing Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum’s move in the near future.
The Dutch alien has been a Star of Liverpool for several years, a key role in their recent Premier League and Champions League triumphs.
However, Wijnaldum will be out of contract at the end of the season and Don Balon reports that Barcelona is now sure to hold him in hand as they are on the loose to negotiate a summer move for him from January.
That would at least make Liverpool keep his hands on Wijnaldum until the end of the season, however, it would be a blow for the Reds to see the 30-year-old leave Anfield before the next campaign.
However, Ronald Koeman can do well to bring Wijnaldum to Camp Nou, as Catalan giants want reconstruction paintings after a few difficult months.
Koeman worked with Wijnaldum when he was coach of the Dutch national team and it is possible that the duo will re-forge a strong relationship at Barca.
