Bayern Munich double contract ? renewal | soccer

Bayern Munich have confirmed that legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has extended his contract at the club.

The Bayern captain has signed a one-year extension, meaning the 37-year-old will remain at the Allianz Arena until 2025.

It’s a big day for Munich’s goalkeeping department as Neuer’s understudy Sven Ulreich has also extended his contract for another year until July 2025.

Neuer recently returned to the team after almost a year out due to an injury sustained while skiing.

Speaking to Bayern’s official website, Neuer said: “I am pleased to remain at FC Bayern for one year. After my long injury, I am back in attack.

“I enjoy being in the box with this team. I am convinced that, in combination with the enthusiasts, we will be able to achieve our big goals in the coming years, and that includes, of course, the Champions League final in Munich in 2025. »

Joining from Schalke in 2011, Neuer has gone on to make 494 appearances for the club and has won 11 Bundesliga titles and two Champions Leagues in his time in Bavaria.
