The governing framework for European football showed on Friday (22 February) that the German Football Association, together with its Russian counterparts, had followed the interest shown in November by presenting formal programmes to host the centrepiece of Europe’s largest festival on 29 May 2021.
The Russian candidacy proposed the Zenit camp in St. Petersburg, st. Petersburg Stadium, as an option for Munich headquarters with 75,000 seats.

The Allianz Arena hosted six 2006 World Cup physies, adding the first match and one of the semi-finals. Bayern also played at home in the 2012 Champions League final, a match they lost 3-4 to Chelsea FC.
After the city council approved the application, Munich’s mayor, Dieter Reiter, expressed his support and said it was “the right resolution for Munich,” adding that “we will have to wait and see if we can make it. “
This wait will get bigger until the start of the next Bundesliga season: UEFA will take its final resolution on who will host the 2021 final in September this year.
