Prior to the Indian Premier League (IPL), Twitter presented special equipment emoticons on Sunday, which can be activated via English and six Indian language hashtags.

“Thanks to those nine emojis, enthusiasts will be able to show them immediately to their favorite team. Fans will also be able to stay and participate in live conversations. Stay tuned for more updates and stay in the opening game #MIvCSK this September 19 on Twitter,” the microblogging site said in a statement.

Some of the hashtags that will make up the team’s emojis are #OneFamily, #WhistlePodu, #PlayBold, #KorboLorboJeetbo, #SaddaPunjab, #OrangeArmy, #HallaBol and #YehHaiNayiDilli.

The 2020 IPL season begins on September 19 with MI opposed to the Chennai Super Kings in a replay of the 2019 final.

MI also planned to face CSK at the opening of the original calendar, with Wankhede Stadium as its home on 29 March, but the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic forced the postponement of the tournament.
