Jude Bellingham has turned down a massive contract offer from Manchester City to sign for Real Madrid this summer, according to reports.
The Borussia Dortmund star has been on the radar of Man City, Liverpool, Madrid and others for some time. Now it turns out that his final fate is almost decided.
In fact, Bellingham is one of the houses of Europe at the moment. So Pep Guardiola must have been a blow when he turned down the chance to sign for City.
According to Marca, the foreigner from England turned down a £13 million-a-year contract from Man City to settle for the offer offered to him through Real Madrid, which is “considerably” lower.
In fact, Bellingham deserves to sign now for Carlo Ancelotti’s team. Now, City, and indeed Liverpool, have been forced to look elsewhere for a new central midfielder.
Interestingly, they have also shown interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch. Therefore, it is possible that we will also see Premier League rivals fighting for him.
Marca’s report suggests that it was Man City who approached Liverpool to strike a deal for Bellingham, which is contrary to claims by other media.

Former Liverpool, Man City and Real Madrid player Steve McManaman has said Real Madrid is the job for Bellingham.
However, he is not convinced that his time at the Bernabeu is yet one hundred percent complete.
Speaking to Spanish media outlet Diairo AS, McManaman said: “Bellingham?Nothing will do it until the summer, if that is so. “
“But if Jude goes to Madrid, he will be treated like a king. “
McManaman is well placed to make that statement, given that he is one of the few British players to play for Los Blancos.
However, Bellingham may struggle to break into Madrid’s starting XI. Indeed, with players such as Eduardo Camavinga, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric at Ancelotti’s disposal, the Englishman will not get a place in the team.
Indeed, Modric is expected to signal a one-year contract extension at the Bernabeu soon. Therefore, Ancelotti obviously still believes that the 37-year-old can still play an important role for Madrid.
However, the young man is still shaping up to be one of the most productive in the world in the future. He therefore deserves to be a major player for the Spanish giants in the coming years, if he joins them as planned.
