Ben Godfrey has spent his in Everton and Norwich’s central defender is expected to point to the Premier League club on Saturday.
The deal includes a prepayment of 25 million pounds and could succeed at about 30 million pounds.
Norwich accepted the Toffees’ newest offer after rejecting a 26 million pound offer in the past for the 22-year-old, who consisted of 20 million pounds in advance, with another 6 million pounds in add-ons.
Everton appears to have opted for Godfrey before the first choice of Carlo Ancelotti, a loan for Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori, which is now unlikely with an additional canopy from Frank Lampard in center defence due to the existing absence of Antonio Rudiger.
Norwich manager Daniel Farke showed Friday that Godfrey is about to leave the league club.
“I can verify that you didn’t work out with us today (Friday) because you’re in more than complex conversations with your agent and a club,” Farke said. “I would say that an agreement will most likely be reached within hours or days, but otherwise I am a satisfied man.
“Whoever feels Ben can be happy. Not that I played for England Under-21s. It’s going to be a record for Norwich City, so it says a lot about its potential. “
“I’m pretty sure he’ll one day play for the most productive clubs in the world. He has a chance to lead the three genuine Lions, so I’m pretty pleased I’ve been painting with him so far. “
Godfrey made 30 high-profile appearances for Norwich, as Daniel Farke’s appearance was relegated to the Sky Bet Championship last season, however, inspired by Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis protecting for the Canary Islands.
England U21 international, which debuted with the Young Lions last year and in the European U21 Championship qualifiers in September, has played 3 times for Norwich so far this season.
AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen have expressed interest in the defence, which Norwich valued at around $30 million, earlier in the summer window.
Everton has followed an ambitious movement policy in this window, with Godfrey ready for the most recent arrival at Goodison Park, following the signings of James Rodriguez, Allan and Niels Nkounkou.
