When it comes to consistency in north London, few can boast of matching the efforts of Ben White at Arsenal, a defender who embodies Mikel Arteta’s football.
White is self-confident in possession, has a vision of the future and also asserts himself physically: Arteta’s best player.
If we go back to the summer of 2021, when Arsenal bought White for a good sum at Brighton.
Manchester United bought Raphael Varane that same summer and Liverpool also bought Ibrahima Konate.
Fans of rival Arsenal were under the impression that the club had overpaid for a lower quality player, but that is evidently not the case.
White has thrived at Arsenal, and if the Gunners win league honors under Arteta, he will be an incredible component of that.
That said, White is now discussing the arrival of his new defensive colleague to the UAE, Riccardo Calafiori.
The Italian is yet to make his full Arsenal debut but could do so against Aston Villa this weekend.
White was speaking to Arsenal’s online website about a number of topics, adding this Saturday’s at Villa Park.
But the verbal exchange temporarily focused on Calafiori, who is obviously making a strong impression in north London.
White, the £42m new signing, is a perfect fit for the club, a competitive defender who raises the bar in training.
He said: “It’s incredible. It fits her perfectly and looks good. He has been with us for a few weeks and has adapted well.
“He is strong, tall, competitive and a very advanced defender. He gives us another type of full-back, so it is smart for everyone to compete and score points for everyone. “

As said, there is a possibility that Calafiori will simply play for Arsenal instead of Aston Villa.
Oleksandr Zinchenko has been suspect in important away games in the past and could lose his position to the Italian or even Jurrien Timber on the left.
Arteta has one or two vital decisions to make, and the same can be said for the moving market.
And Arsenal are now an ambitious trade deal that could see one of White’s defensive teammates leave the club.
