After being loaned out to Preston North End last season, Fernandez now plies his industry at Spanish side Granada. The 20-year-old is starting to make a contribution to the La Liga club and, according to Record, this has caught the attention of the Portuguese giants.

Benfica will reportedly sign Fernandez on a permanent basis this month and have spoken to Granada and United about their intentions. They are expected to submit an offer of €7 million for the man’s services.

On the other hand, United are said to be a “bargain” in their quest for Stuttgart’s talisman, Serhou Guirassy.

It’s no secret how mediocre United have been when it comes to scoring goals this season. With only 22 goals scored in the best play, a centre-forward is on the wish list of fans.

According to journalist Dharmesh Sheth in an article for Give Me Sport, United could land a smart deal if they get after Guirassy. The 27-year-old Guinean foreigner has been in sensational form this season in Germany and has 19 passes in 16 appearances. for the club.

His goalscoring feats this year came out of nowhere after a modest career so far. But it is understood that the striker’s efforts have caught United’s attention.

Sheth adds if the Reds wish to complete a deal for the forward this month, they could do so for a cut price fee of €17m thanks to a release clause in his contract. Elsewhere,
