Benfica coach Jorge Jesus says Everton is in the Guild and Brazilian striker Everton Soares.
Soares has been in line with a move to Everton since the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti in December, and the Guild’s president, Romildo Bolzan, claimed that the Italian is an admirer of the 24-year-old player.
Jesús appointed Benfica’s new coach this month, his tenure at the moment after a six-year period in charge between 2009 and 2015, and admitted that he quickly called Soares to convince him to move to Portugal.
But he says Everton and an anonymous German team are also competing for him as he prepares to take Benfica to the Champions League qualifying stages this summer.
“It is true that I am the player, ” said Jesus to Record.
“It is one of Benfica’s vital goals, not only for its quality, it is also a brazilian starter. There is also interest in Everton and a German team.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton is looking to get started and another summer is underway at Goodison Park.

“I tried to convince him to come to Benfica, which is a big club, with a national and European transfer with wonderful players to attack all competitions. I tried to convince him to come and paint with me.
In February, ECHO showed that Everton was not interested lately in signing for Soares even though the player claimed that Ancelotti had asked him about a possible transfer.
