Juventus have received a huge boost in their pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani as they look to beat Manchester United in the race for the Paris Saint-Germain striker, but there is one vital piece of the jigsaw still missing from a potential deal.
Kolo Muani is one of the top targets for Juventus in the January transfer window, as the Italian giants aim to ensure a successful season. Thiago Motta’s side are unlikely to win the Scudetto this campaign, but they could end up in the Serie A top four. The Bianconeri are also in a good position to qualify for the Round of 16 of the Champions League without going through the playoffs.
One of Juventus’s major problems this season is the lack of goals. While the Turin club have conceded 16 goals in 19 Serie A matches this season, they have found the back of the net 31 times in the league. Second-placed Inter Milan have scored 46 goals.
Dusan Vlahovic is having a very prolific campaign and has scored only seven goals in 16 Serie A games. There is also the hypothesis that Arsenal like the Serbian foreign striker.
Juventus have brought in a new striker this month and, in what will be a major blow for Manchester United, the Italian club have managed to convince Kolo Muani to move to Juventus Stadium.
According to La Repubblica, Kolo Muani accepted Juventus as a destination in January and the Italian is very interested in closing a deal soon.
Manchester United are also interested in the French foreign striker. TeamTalk reported earlier this month that the Premier League giants had “a concrete option” for him.
Our move expert Rudy Galetti says Paris Saint-Germain are open to a loan move this month as the striker struggles to break into the lineup regularly.
However, according to this recent article from La Repubblica, it seems that the 26-year-old PSG striker will head to Juventus.
There is still a ray of hope for the UTD boy in terms of contract for Kolo Muani. While the striker has to move to Juventus, the repubblica said that at the moment there is no agreement between the two clubs.
Juventus, however, are in “intensive contacts” with PSG, with the Italian giants and the power of the French powerhouse talking about a deal for former striker Eintracht Frankfurt.
Gerguy’s media reports claim that the UTD boy is “determined to do everything possible” to bring the PSG star to Old Trafford and has already held talks with his management.
With Juventus now pressing ahead with a move for the striker, Man Utd will have to step up their pursuit if they are to get a deal done.
United Head coach Ruben Amorim needs to name a new striker in January, and the need is pressing if Marcus Rashford leaves Old Trafford in the coming days, as expected.
Kolo Muani is not the only player that Juventus want to promote to their team in the January transfer window. Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo is also attracting interest.
Reports said Juventus had already rejected an offer for Araujo. Serie A is hoping to make a moment to deliver.
Juventus, however, can face a difficult festival for Araujo. Teamtalk understands that Arsenal is very for the Uruguayan foreign central defender and is making plans to make an offer this month.
In terms of expenses, Juventus would be in a position to get rid of Vlahovic before the transfer window closes.
It is speculated that Juventus is so faithful to Joshua Zirkzee that they could send Vlahovic to the man UTD to close the agreement.
Another player who could leave Juventus this month is Douglas Luiz. The Brazilian midfielder joined the Italian club from Aston Villa only last summer, but he has failed to settle into the team.
The UTD type would be interested in the old Manchester City prospect and plans to indicate the replacement of Kobbie Mainoo if he goes to Chelsea in January.
