Cam Newton is expected to enter the loose agent market in two months, and his head coach, Bill Belichick, gave no clues about the New England Patriots’ plans for their quarterback in 2021.
Newton spoke to reporters on Thursday and looked like a quarterback preparing to play his last game in the Patriots uniform Sunday against the New York Jets.
The 31-year-old said the only thing that happened to him this season is that he didn’t have more time to prepare for the 2020 crusade through organized team activities and an educational camp.
Belichick asked him Friday if he would like to continue running with Newton in the future.
