Billy Gilmour returns to his knee and his career with Chelsea’s first team

Billy Gilmour admits that suffering a long-term knee injury is difficult, but now he’s looking for opportunities for Chelsea with Frank Lampard.

The 19-year-old enjoyed his decisive season at Chelsea last year, in which he played four of the Blues’ six games after returning after the blockade.

But the teenager, after looking promising with impressive Match Player demonstrations against Everton and Liverpool, injured the meniscus on his knee that saw him go through an operation.

Gilmour had to recover on his own before returning to a pandemic and highlighted the difficulties his injury endured.

“It was difficult,” Gilmour told Chelsea’s official website. “After the operation, I missed football a lot and looked to get back as soon as possible. I’ve never had this time out of there before and especially the lockdown. “In fact, I couldn’t do anything.

“I had just moved in with me and you need to do things in space, but you can’t when you only have one leg and jump on crutches. It was the worst feeling of all time, but physiotherapists helped me a lot to do it. strengthen my leg and knee. I have to stick to the workouts to make sure the knee stays moving and strong, but now everything’s fine. “
