News in brief:
For some reason, Marriott didn’t announce it three weeks ago, when it happened, but the company opened a mid-range Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Edinburgh.
This is a conversion of the former Apex Haymarket Hotel.
This is the second Four Points hotel in the UK. It is almost a shop with 69 rooms. The Almafino restaurant has an Italian theme with “a central pizza oven” and replaces the old “Metro West End” restaurant from the Apex era.
The location looks promising, close to Haymarket station. Mid-week rates in the coming weeks will be £175 to £200 per night.
You can read more about the hotel here.
After the publication of its address from the city of London to Antwerp, discussed here, Luxair is turning its attention to Manchester.
From 1 April 2024, it will offer 3 weekly flights between Manchester and Luxembourg. Services will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The address will use a Dash 8 as shown above.

Kudos to @SeanM1997 at X.
While yesterday it won an email directly via Priority Pass about this, the airport club lounge organisation is extending its guest payment from £20 to £24 from 1 October.
If you currently pay for a Priority Pass directly from the agency, you may need to reconsider and upgrade to a credit card version.
If you get the American Express Preferred Rewards Gold credit card, you get 4 individual Priority Pass visits per year. These can be used entirely by you or by you and the visitors traveling with you.
Given the new £24 fee, you cover £96 of the £160 annual payment for Amex Gold with this benefit. Best of all, Amex Gold is available for the first year.
For regular Priority Pass users, the American Express Plos angelestinum card comes with TWO Priority Pass cards, each of which provides UNLIMITED free access for you and a guest. This means that a circle of 4 angelestives can access a living room for free, which would charge £96 if you had a Priority Pass “a la carte de los Angeles”.
Amex Platinum also offers a great diversity of other benefits (see our review here) that can make the £575 annual payout like the price for money. This includes £300 annual meal credits, £100 annual Harvey Nichols credits and 30,000 Membership Rewards bonus issues. in the first year.

I saw the name and thought it said Priority Pass FESS up. I’m making popcorn.
