April 29 (UPI) — The Boisse Broncos have signed coach Spencer Danielson to a five-year contract extension, the team announced Tuesday.
“First of all, thank you to [Director of Athletics] Jeramiah Dickey and the entire Boisse State University control team for trusting me, our training staff and our student-athletes to build this giant university and network every day,” Danielson said in a press release. “I think it’s my calling to be the head coach of Boise State.
He worked as a graduate assistant in Azusa Pacific’s Division II in 2013 and coach the latter with the same program from 2014 to 2016.
Danielson appointed the Coach of the Conference 2024 Mountain West.
“Spencer has proven to be the right leader at the right time for Boise football and our university as a whole,” Dickey said. “We are asking all our bars rioters, and Spencer is a better example of what that means for Boise State and this community.
“I’m proud to see not only the champions on the field, showcased over the past year expand into the college football playoffs, but also the champions of life. We are grateful for him and his circle of relatives believing in this place, and we are extremely happy with what follows!”
Danielson and the Broncos will face South Florida, their normal season opener, on Aug. 28 in Tampa, Fla.
