Inter Milan moved 18 points atop Serie A after a narrow win in Bologna in search of the Champions League.
German centre-back Yann Bisseck bowed to score the goal of the match with a cross from Alessandro Bastoni 8 minutes before the break.
Back-to-back wins in all competitions extend Inter’s lead ahead of Juventus’ home game against Atalanta on Sunday (17:00 GMT).
Bologna remain fourth after their second home defeat of the season.
The hosts dominated much of the second half but could not overcome Simone Inzaghi’s side, who have conceded just thirteen goals in 28 league games.
The victory is Inter’s 10th consecutive league title, the third time they have achieved this feat in their history, as they continue their march towards their 20th Serie A title.
Meanwhile, fifth-placed Roma have a chance to close the gap to Bologna to one point at Fiorentina on Sunday afternoon (7. 45pm CET).
