The 18-year-old Brazilian moved from Flamengo to the Spanish capital in January for 30 million euros and has since worked with the club’s B team.

This resolution is made through Achraf Hakimi, who spent the last two seasons on loan with the Bundesliga club before being sold in a transfer to Inter Milan this summer.

“I am satisfied to be in the BVB now. The club is known for focusing on the young players and them,” Reinier told the club’s official website.

“I would love to be informed and play a lot here, team and succeed. I hope we have many satisfied moments together.”

Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc added that the club had been following Reinier for some time and that he was looking ahead to see the teenager in the club’s colours.

“Reinier is a player with great skill and can deploy to offensive positions,” he said.

“After the long interruption of competitive football, we will give you time to adapt to professional football in Germany and possibly be one more option for us in the future.”
