Borussia Dortmund have shown they have no plans to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho and allow Donyell Malen to leave in return.

MEN Sport understands that Sancho is one of the players who will be allowed to leave in January if a suitable offer is received. The Englishman has been in exile since September when he was involved in a public altercation with Erik ten Hag.

After the defeat to Arsenal, Ten Hag told reporters that Sancho was not part of the Emirates squad due to his performance in training. The 23-year-old responded by claiming that United’s chess coach had made him a “scapegoat”.

Since then his post has been deleted but it is understood Sancho has not apologised for his actions hence why he has not made a return to the first team picture. Earlier this month, reports in Germany suggested meetings were commencing between United and Dortmund regarding a swap deal between Malen and Sancho.

However, in an interview with Sky Sports, Bundesliga club director Sebastian Kehl rejected the idea of such deals in the offing. “At the moment there is no talk of any industrial deal or any interest in a player,” he replied when asked about Sancho and a trade deal.

When asked about Dortmund’s moves this winter, Kehl added: “We will have to pay close attention to the characteristics that the market offers. As always, we will deal with the problems very intensively and not get carried away. “

Malen is a player that Ten Hag knows from his time in Holland. The former PSV Eindhoven player has scored five goals and two assists in 21 appearances for Dortmund this season.
