Borussia Dortmund check plans to take Youssoufa Moukoko, 15, to the Champions League

On Monday, a review of Borussia Dortmund’s plans to put Youssoufa Moukoko on the club’s B-list for the Champions League was announced on Monday.

Moukoko is considered one of the young talents of world football.

The teenager began to attract attention throughout Europe after making his debut for Borussia Dortmund’s under-17 team in 2017 at the age of 12.

Moukoko’s astonishing exploits, despite his years of tenderness, eventually led the German sicario to the BVB U17 team two seasons ago.

And to say that the teenage hitman has been even gentler on the scene of young Germans would be to say it gently.

Incredibly, the 2018/19 crusade saw Moukoko at the bottom of the net 46 times in 25 appearances, while playing three years above his age group.

Prior to last season interrupted by the COVID-19 epidemic, the prodigious striker had contributed directly with 43 goals in 20 Bundesliga U19 appearances.

As a reminder, Moukoko is lately 15 years old . . .

As such, after another pair of hat tricks from their first two appearances of the existing campaign, it is not unexpected to see that questions begin to arise about when the teenage sensation might appear in the Dortmund premiere team setup.

If the last word of the Bundesliga club is something to say, the wait could end soon.

In an interview with Bild (via Goal), BVB sports director Michael Zorc showed that his team intends to join Moukoko on the Champions League’s B-list team for next season:

‘If it’s true. We will sign Youssoufa for the Champions League in list B ».

In the meantime, some other idea of how this takes place has also been provided.

Dortmund, for their part, have already named their squad for this season’s Champions League stages.

Moukoko, however, obviously stayed out.

This only came when the prolific striker is still eligible for the absolute UEFA competition. As such, in the case of his 16th birthday next month, Moukoko is expected to be included on Dortmund’s B-list.

In turn, it will be rated as cultivated on site and will be available for the Lucien Favre variety.

Even the young foreign German may make his Champions League debut when the club faces Club Brugge on 24 November.
