PSV have announced that Gotze, 28, signed a two-year contract with the Dutch club after leaving Dortmund at the end of his contract at the end of last season.
The scorer hero of the 2014 World Cup final in Germany rose through the ranks in Dortmund and had two periods at the club in any aspect of a season at Bayern Munich.
The offensive midfielder said, “I’ve had a lot of donations this summer, but I’m a sensitive guy and I make my own decisions.
“I feel able to face a very different challenge and am convinced that it will be a very comfortable transition for me. “
PSV football director John de Jong added: “Mario became interested after our head coach Roger Schmidt contacted him.
“And in the end, it turned out to be the discounted price we expected.
“We are very happy that you have signed a contract with the PSV. We’re very proud. “
Gotze made 21 appearances for Dortmund’s season, scoring 3 goals.
But after his return from Bayern in 2016, his spell was now affected by illness and injury.
