Borussia Dortmund have been inspired by Jadon Sancho’s form following his return to Germany.
The winger has returned to the club where he made his first call-up to end his struggles with Manchester United, at least temporarily. Sancho’s clash with Erik ten Hag left him frozen and he has been in the first team since September.
As a result, some at Dortmund were concerned about Sancho’s fitness after his loan was confirmed. His last competitive match on August 26 against Nottingham Forest, but looking at it closely, there is no challenge with the player and he will play this weekend against Nottingham Forest. Dortmund will only have to pay a minor loan fee to have Sancho on their books for the remainder of the season. An agreement on wages was also found with the Bundesliga outfit unable to pay the type of weekly sums that United were shelling out.
Sancho said after his return: “When I walked into the dressing room today I felt like I was ‘at home’. I know the club inside and out, I’ve been very close to the fans here and I’ve never lost.
