The return of Jadon Sancho’s loan to Borussia Dortmund will cost the German club just £3 million.
The winger went into exile at Manchester United following a clash with Erik ten Hag and the club need a solution to his long career to be discovered this month. A return to the Bundesliga club, where he first made a name for himself, is now approaching, and the Red Devils have to subsidize large amounts of his salary to get him off their books for the time being.
Therefore, Dortmund sees minimal threat in this decision, as it costs them very little financially. They were left with £73m when they sold Sancho and will now get him back for a fraction of the price, their challenge is to return him to their previous titles after a prolonged era of underperformance.
The German club’s dressing rooms are excited about his arrival because they know his exploits when he wore yellow and black, reports Athletic. Sancho was a regular contributor in the final third, contributing 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 games.
This far outweighs Dortmund’s minor concerns about his discipline, with Sancho’s punctuality being a factor throughout his career. United and Ten Hag have not been able to address this factor well and their decision to allow Sancho to leave for such a minimal fee suggests they are content to get the player out of the club.
Bundesliga team principal Edin Terzic has already figured out tactics to solve the challenge and helped Sancho improve at Dortmund.
Terzic told some of his coaches to pay close attention to the 23-year-old, making sure he wasn’t absent due to club meetings. Sancho has also been asked to spend so much time with Erling Haaland in the hope that his professionalism will improve. rub.
DO YOU HAVE YOUR SAY: Would returning to Dortmund be a resolution for Sancho?Let us know what you think in the comments below.
Dortmund can no longer afford that luxury with Haaland and Jude Bellingham, two stars who shone alongside Sancho, and neither of them have left. The United winger’s comeback was already ruled out by the German club. That is, until they suffered a terrible series of effects in December.
This has caused them to fall off the table and it is identified that they want a new injection of quality while several members of their front line are struggling to produce. Dortmund are looking to return to the top four and will play in the Champions League round of 16 against PSV.
If Sancho can maintain his ambitions, he will prove to be a shrewd signing, with his loan prices repaid. But the club know they can’t bring him back permanently given his salary and the fees United would likely demand.
