Two brothers and their friend embark on a European adventure, using a popular energy drink to reach their destination.

Christina Lake’s Sasha and Kostya Tyoschin, along with Addelyn Clemens, have been selected to represent Canada at the Red Bull Can You Make It Challenge, May 21-28. The trio, one of five Canadian teams selected to be part of this challenge, will drop them off somewhere in Europe and get 24 cans of Red Bull as currency to buy food, transportation and a place to sleep. Along the way, they’ll have to film themselves and post on social media, in addition to entire demanding situations. to earn more cans of Red Bull and take them to their destination, Berlin, Germany.

They will have seven days to get to Berlin, regardless of where they leave them, Kostya explained. They may not know where they will be dropped off until they arrive, and they may also not know what their prize is until they arrive. they will make it to Berlin if they win.

“No phone, no wallet and we start with 24 cans of Red Bull and they send us to get our own accommodation, food and it’s an emissions system. We win by getting maximum emissions. “

All groups will get phones with preloaded apps to post content to their online challenge page and social media pages. They will also get data such as demanding situations and instructions on those phones.

The problem system, as Kostya said he understands, is that there are three methods for other people to win problems: the first is to record themselves, upload it to an app on the phone to allow other people to stick to them; locate verification issues with apps on the phone and complete challenges; or covering the greatest distance.

“It’s not about getting to Berlin first, it’s about getting as many numbers as possible and completing them in Berlin,” he said.

The trio learned about this challenge from Sasha, who sent it to Addelyn and Kostya. It was anything they could do, he said. They implemented it by calling themselves Eh Team. However, they had to prove that they could simply accept the challenge and communicate it on social media. The trio made a one-minute introductory video of themselves searching for a Red Bull cache on Trail, doing rides from Christina Lake to Trail.

It shows the team hitchhiking with people, scouring the Trail for clues, following a map and audio clues to a buried Red Bull cache.

“We shot it that weekend in early February, sent it in, and found out (in early April) that we had been selected to form Canada,” he said. “More than 60 countries are participating in this challenge. People are applying from all over the world and I still can’t we were selected.

All of the groups will travel to Europe on May 20, and will most likely have hotel and food the day before the groups leave for their challenges, Kostya said.
