Bournemouth has appointed Jason Tindall as the club’s new coach, succeeding Past Eddie Howe.
Tindall had been the Cherries’ assistant since 2008, serving as Howe’s number 2 during his two spells on the bench.
The 42-year-old had already been in the club’s books as a coach and, with a general age of 18.
He signed a new three-year contract at Vitality Stadium and took it back to the Premier League after relegation.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to be the manager of a football club like that,” Tindall told afcbTV.
“Given the club’s good fortune over the last 12 years, with Eddie at the pace and me by his side, I’m going to break it all down and start over.It would be crazy if I did that.”
“But I am my own user with my own concepts and will take a look to put them into effect as soon as we get back into the educational arena.
“I know the league is a very complicated league, but my purpose is to bring this club back to the Premier League for the first time.
“It’s a challenge for those of me who sit in a position and look forward.”
AFC Bournemouth owner Maxim Demin said: “Jason has played a vital role in the good fortune of this club over the past decade and it is absolute merit to step in as our new coach.
“Although his wisdom and fondness for the club is undeniable, he is the standout candidate for this position.
“He has a great enthusiasm for homework and concepts to make the most of a talented team.
“This is the beginning of a new era for this football club and I’m excited about what the long haul holds.”
