Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers are making their sixth appearance, and may be on their way to collision for their fourth playoff final.
The Buckeyes of Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Ohio State stand in the way of this possible showdown, which has only one national semi-final win between them in the Buckeyes winning season that began the era of the playoffs.
Alabama and Clemson seemed dominant in their last playoff advances on the convention championship weekend, and if their parties to the conflict do not make their mistakes as of December 19, the SEC-ACC crash could be held at the National Championship on January 11.

Notre Dame can complicate Alabama’s life if the attack led by Ian Book matches the SEC champion’s score, but he couldn’t make that have an effect in his time meeting with Clemson.

The Sugar Bowl will be closer to the two semi-finals.
A year ago, Clemson and Ohio State played one of the last 4 games with a single digit margin.
In the six years of the playoffs, three semi-finals went through seven numbers or less. Ohio State has played in two of the one games. The Buckeyes beat Alabama through a landing to qualify for the 2015 national championship.
The Big Ten champion can stay within a Clemson score by keeping the ball out of Lawrence’s hands for long periods.
In his victory over the Northwest Wildcats, Ohio State asked offensive lineman Trey Sermon to make the most of the paintings on offense. Sermon finished with 331 yards per land.
If the Buckeyes organized some long races dictated throughout the race, they can keep Clemson from going crazy.
