Boston Celtics Jayson Tatum continues to burn his call in the franchise’s history books.
Tatum scored 34 problems in the Celtics’ win over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday.Celtics legend Tommy Heinsohn is the 22-year-old who scores the most problems in a playoff game in Boston with 37, according to ESPN Stats
Boston head coach Brad Stevens explained what happened at Tatum on Tuesday night.
“Yes, I think about it differently tonight than even in the first game.I think he’s attacking faster. He grabbed the ball and went to what he wanted to do.It’s a great component of his ability to score the ball tonight.”Stevens told reporters, as noted in the post-game coverage of NBC Sports Boston.
“He’s obviously making some tough shots, but I think at the end of the day, he’s a guy we know can succeed in his places, we know he can hit.And the way the defensive stops him, they get it.”beneath it, so he’s going to do his moves quickly, I think he adapted well tonight.
Tatum finished 8 of 17 in the area and 4 out of 7 beyond the arc and when he left strongly in the hoop, the Raptors committed foul after foul and Tatum rewarded himself for it because he had a better 14 out of 14 hoop.the firing line.
The NBA All-Star also had eight rebounds and six assists in the playoffs.His past all-time highs were 33 problems and attendances, respectively.
The Celtics, who now have a 2-0 lead in the series, will return to the court on Thursday for Game 3 against the Raptors.The tip is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.
