CAPE TOW – Former Bafana Bafana defenseman Bradley Carnell has been named interim head coach of the New York Red Bulls of the Primary Football League following the firing of coach Chris Armas.
Carnell, who is the assistant arms coach, will evaluate the Red Bulls in Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Union at New York’s Red Bull Arena.
Former Kaizer Chiefs, Bidvest Wits and Borussia Monchengladbach have been chosen 42 times worldwide and played all three games for South Africa at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan.
After hanging up the tacos, he was assistant coach of Orlando Pirates, Free State Stars and head coach of the men’s team at the University of Johannesburg.
“It’s a whirlwind and an emotional roller coaster and we know we appreciate Chris and CJ.What happened was a surprise to everyone, but now I have a legal responsibility to the team, to the club, to the club, which brought me to 2017 and me.we have a legal responsibility and our greatest asset right now are the players,” Carnell said in a video on his club’s website.

After the games, the Red Bulls are in eighth place in the MLS East Conference after winning 3 games.
