Brahim Diaz ‘changes Spanish nationality’, and that’s bad news for Real Madrid

REAL MADRID star Brahim Diaz has to leave Spain for Morocco.

The winger returned to Real after a two-year loan spell at AC Milan.

He was not yet Carlo Ancelotti’s first pick who could be on the verge of replacing him following Vinicius Jr. ‘s injury.

However, Los Blancos could be without Diaz for much of the season.

This is because it will be Morocco, where he is qualified to play thanks to his father, reports Marca.

Diaz has only one cap for Spain, but regulations allow players to transfer their domestic allegiance if they have fewer than three caps, as long as their appearances have taken place at the World Cup.

And if Morocco call up Diaz, he may miss several Real Madrid games due to the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

The tournament will run from January thirteen to February 11, 2024.

So if Morocco triumphs in the final, Diaz will miss five games, and potentially more, as he possibly needs time to recover.

Real are rivals this period with Atletico Madrid, the only team to have beaten them so far this season.

However, the La Liga leaders have had to deal with the absence of key players such as Vinicius and Eder Militao this season.

That’s partly due to the form of Jude Bellingham, who has scored ten goals in ten games since arriving in the summer.
