Manchester City’s 12-match Premier League winning streak came to an end when they drew 1-1 at Brighton, securing the Europa League for next season.
City, chasing the treble, who won a fifth name in six seasons this weekend, lacked the same intensity as always but took the lead when Phil Foden arrived home in the 25th minute.
Brighton sealed the 6th position and the first adventure of the club in Europe, and showed why with dynamic football and Julio Enciso equalized for the locals with a very good long-distance shot in the 38′.
Danny Welbeck had a goal sent off before half-time for Brighton and Erling Haaland thought he had put City ahead early but was penalised for pulling the blouse after a VAR check.
It is the first time since February that City have dropped problems and with a league game at Brentford on Sunday, they have 89 problems, 8 more than Arsenal.
