Lampard led Chelsea to a fourth-place finish in the Premier League to secure the Champions League standings, while the Blues also reached the FA Cup final, losing Wembley’s centerpiece to Arsenal.
President Bruce Buck has praised Chelsea manager Lampard for sealing the Champions League standings in a crusade in which the Blues have fought for a ban and bloodied a lot of young talent.
Former Chelsea midfielder Lampard has laid the groundwork for a new Stamford Bridge, impressing the club’s decision-makers.
“On the tour, we think it was a very successful season,” Buck told PA news agency.
“Clearly we would have been a little happier if we had won the FA Cup.
“But I’m sure the coach and the players were gutted for lifting the trophy. “
The seal of approval of the Chelsea board, and extension owner Roman Abramovich, will be Lampard, 42, as he continues to plan his review of the Blues game team.
Lampard has already welcomed the addition of former Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech as key to his harmonious relationship with the Stamford Bridge board.

Cech and director Marina Granovskaia are working hard with Lampard on Chelsea’s play strategy, which has generated a new synergy between the board and the department.
Former managers Maurizio Sarri and Antonio Conte had denounced Chelsea’s management’s movement strategy, but Lampard, with Cech, developed a much smoother process.
Chelsea have already sealed high-level transfers for RB Leipzig’s prolific German striker Timo Werner and Morocco’s King Hakim Ziyech of Ajax.
Les Bleus are fully committed to adding a handful of new recruits before next season, with the new Premier League crusade starting on September 12.
Saturday’s 4–1 surprise to Bayern Munich in the last 16 moments of the Champions League ended the season on a frustrating note, The Blues bosses are excited about what awaits them.
Before the FA Cup final, Lampard described himself as a “big boy” and wanted nothing to know about the board or the club owner.
But Lampard can be driven across the board, Buck is well aware of the influence of the former midfielder from England.
Werner and Ziyech have selected Lampard as the main explanation for why they decided to sign for Chelsea, and the Blues hope to exploit their young coach’s influence on long-term hiring plans.
“Frank Lampard is a great force for Chelsea,” Buck said.
“It’s Chelsea from start to finish and that keeps showing off. He’s got a lot of credibility.
“This is a time for Chelsea. “
