The Bundaberg Sailing Club will host australian Sports Boat Association (ASBA) state titles this weekend at Burnett Heads near Oaks Beach.
It will be a highly contested regatta with 15 of the state’s most productive and a New South Wales team from Lake Macquarie, who are the existing national champions and Queensland’s protective champions.
They will compete in 8 races to see who will be the champion in the Sports Boat Measurement System (SMS) measurement formula and in the ASBA Long-Term Functionality Handicap Formula (ASBA LTP).
ASBA claims that the Bundaberg Sailing Club is a perfect club and platform to house the regatta and that its 4 viper 640 venues will keep all other groups on guard.
Rising superstar Isaac Cooper lit him up in his hometown, breaking 3 records in 10 victories by winning the Men’s Division Open Championship at the annual City of Charm Swimming Carnival at Norville Pool this weekend.

Isaac, however, beat the swimmer in the competition, which is awarded to the longest-holding competitor, through Rocky City’s Taryn Roberts, with her 2:37. 67 in women’s 14 years two hundred m breaststroke, improving the popular ensemble 21 years ago through Kelli Waite, and also broke two other records.

Kasey will form Queensland Country at the Interbranchs Surf Life Saving Queensland Championships on the Gold Coast, today, along with teammates Bundaberg SLSC Xavier and Ariana Ulbl, and Lana Grant, and the older sister of the trio Elliott Heads SLSC, Casey, Max O Brien and Kobi Holden.

Bargara coach John Kuhn and Darren Taylor of Bouldercombe won the doubles in Bundaberg Greyhound’s match this week.
John succeeded with Precious Hope, who broke a 14-game loss streak in a 460m year, and former Victorian Talking Numbers, who recorded his first victory at Thabeban Park in the year 550 m.
Darren received silver with track debutant My Bro Breach in the fifth year of 460m, and Off Break in the 460m fifth-year final.
Three other local coaches also shared the loot, Phillip Carter, who received sentencing with former New Wales hunter Amazing Archer on a girl, Paul Burgess, who continued his winning streak with Jabril Bale at non-Penalty Novice, and Bundaberg President Greyhound Racing Club Ricky Hassall with Kiki’s mother, who earned back-to-back victories in fourth place.
In horse racing, Bundaberg’s most sensible coach, Darryl Gardiner, among the winners at Gympie on Saturday, won Class B with Shenzi.
