PROVO, Utah (AP) – Tyler Allgeier rushed for a maximum of 141 yards and two touchdowns and the No. 8 BYU beat North Alabama 66-14 on Saturday to advance to 9-0.
Allgeier played his fourth 100-yard game of the season. Zach Wilson pitched for 212 yards and four touchdowns before half-time and added 33 yards on the ground. It had a maximum score of 256. 3 QB for the season.
BYU scored touchdowns in the six practices of the first half. The Cougars had 394 total yards and an 11. 3 yard consistent with the game before half-time.
Rett Files pitched for 198 yards and a landing for the Lions (0-4). The archives played the moment and fourth quarter, while beginner quarterback Blake Dever took snapshots in the first and third quarters. Dever pitched for 107 yards.
Wilson hit gunner Romney with a double 50-yard pass on the Cougars scrum’s first play in a 2-yard run to Isaac Rex who put BYU 7-0.
Allgeier scored two yards in the next two BYU practices. His longest race of the day, a 39-yard run down the band line, created a 19-yard pass from Wilson to Neil Pau’u in the next game that gave the Cougars a four – lead contact.
Isaiah Kaufusi had a loose ball and returned it 50 yards to prepare a 3-yard touchdown reception through Isaac Rex to increase the lead to 35-0.
North Alabama nevertheless joined the board with a 2-yard run through Ja’Won Howell with 1:37 remaining in the first half. The momentum gained on landing was short-lasting. Wilson threw a 58-yard pass to Dax Milne to open BYU’s next practice, scoring 22 yards on a landing pass to Kavika Fonua that gave BYU a 42-7 lead at half-time.
Northern Alabama allowed 21 overall problems in the first half in its first three games and kept the last three parties in goalless conflict in the first quarter.
TAKE-OFF
Northern Alabama: Lions never seriously threatened BYU, their defense could not save any, and their offense fought to prolong education when it mattered.
BYU: The Cougars faced an overtaken FCS opponent. BYU did not kick for the first time before the third quarter and scored his top problems in a game since defeating Wagner 70-6 in 2015.
IMPLICATIONS OF THE SURVEY
Annihilating an FCS opponent is probably moving the BYU needle on the AP Top 25.
