The New England Patriots will have at least two more days to decide whether to activate two injured off-reserve players after Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs was postponed due to Cam Newton’s COVID-19 positive.
Lately, the NFL plans to postpone the Patriots’ fourth week game with the Chiefs by Monday or Tuesday after the New England quarterback won a positive result.
If the Patriots had played Sunday, as planned, they would have had to face attacking midfielder Damien Harris and / or wide receiver Gunner Olszewski until 4 p. m. Saturday. The Patriots didn’t make those moves Saturday.
If the Patriots play on Monday, activations are expected to take place Monday at four p. m. If the Patriots play on Tuesday, each other’s moves can be done as defeated Tuesday at four p. m.
Harris and Olszewski practiced all week with the Patriots and both were placed in the injured reserve before Week 1.
