BERLIN (AP) – France and Italy celebrated remarkable achievements on Wednesday at opposite ends of the age group, either with big victories in friendlies.
Eduardo Camavinga, 17, France’s youngest purpose goalscorer in more than a hundred years after making his first start with the national team, scored the first goal in a 7–1 goal over Ukraine in Paris.
Francesco Caputo, 33, is the ingest player to score on his debut for Italy when he scored the moment in the 6-0 win over Moldova in Florence.
Sassuolo’s striker broke his record through Leonardo Pavoletti, who 30 when he scored in a European Championship qualifier against Liechtenstein last year.
Caputo was also close to scoring a goal for the time being, but Moldovan defender Veaceslav Posmac switched to his business when he tried to clear.
Stephan El Shaarawy scored two goals, while Bryan Cristante and Domenico Berardi also scored their first foreign goals for Italy, which he led 5-0 at half after a first-half attack.
Roberto Mancini has covered up an Italian experimental team before the League of Nations matches against Poland and the Netherlands on 11 and 14 October.
At the Stade de France, Olivier Giroud scored twice in his 100th appearance to bring his total to 42 goals, one more than the wonderful Frenchman Michel Platini and just nine the most level-headed French scorer of all time, Thierry Henry.
Camavinga opened the scoring with an acrobatic left-hander from outside the area to the most sensitive corner, becoming the youngest player of the moment to score for France, at 17 years and 11 months, Maurice Gastiger only six months younger when he scored in opposition to Switzerland on 8 March 1914.
Corentin Tolisso, Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann also scored for France, while Vitaliy Mykolenko scored against his appearance for a Ukrainian team exhausted by cases of coronavirus and injuries. Viktor Tsygankov marked the comfort of visitors at the beginning of the middle of the moment.
GERMANY CARELESS
German coach Joachim Lew knocked out many regular players during turkey’s stopover at an almost empty stadium in Cologne, but was disappointed when Kenan Karaman scored in the fourth minute of extra time to secure a 3-3 draw for the guests.
“Disappointed and fed up,” Lunw said, though Borussia Munich midfielder Florian Neuhaus scored on his debut in Germany and Benfica striker Luca Waldschmidt scored his first goal abroad.
Germany took the lead three times, but had the concentration to retain victory.
