EMERGENCY has shown that no one was injured when a fire devastated a domain the length of “two football pitches” in Cannock today.
According to reports, the fire broke out in the Super Smart Services distribution warehouse and scorched an area of 38,000 m².
Speaking from the scene, Glynn Luznyj, Staffordshire Deputy Fire and Rescue Chief, said: “Our firefighters are making progress with this major incident here in Cannock today.
“They were called shortly after 6 a. m. and were greeted through a high-rise garage and distribution warehouse that was completely devastated by fire, flames and smoke.
“So it was a first hour or two of complicated operations.
“I am pleased to say that our groups in Staffordshire are supported by colleagues in the West Midlands and Shropshire and have made smart progress in containing the fire, controlling it and preventing its spread. “
