The draw for the semi-finals will be made shortly after Spurs beat Manchester United in a seven-goal thriller.

Arsenal reached the semi-finals after a Gabriel Jesus hat-trick saw them beat Crystal Palace 3-2, while goals from Darwin Núñez and Harvey Elliot gave Liverpool a 2-1 victory over Southampton.

A brace from Sandro Tonali and a goal from Fabian Schar saw Newcastle regain their position in the bottom four with a 3-1 win over Brentford.

In the end, that could lead to a definitive derby in north London at the Carabao Cup.

A stellar cast nevertheless!

Tottenham-Liverpool

The first will be at home in the first leg and it is. . . .

Arsenal-Newcastle

We are about to have our two semi-final draws.

It is not that they are played from one side to the other, birth in the birth of January.

He said on Sky Sports: “Has there been a worse performance by goalkeepers. . . ever?”

Forster and Bayindir didn’t cover themselves in glory with some of their efforts!

We will meet our semi-finalists at 10:30 a. m.

Here are the ball numbers to look at. . .

1 -Arsenal

2-Liverpool

3-Newcastle

4- Tottenham

As Jamie Redknapp said – “It was a masterclass in how not to see out a game.”

But they got ahead of him.

Well, it’s mental. Tottenham did a smart job by throwing it overboard, but they came close to winning an epic match.

Great viewing for a neutral, not if you’re a fan of either team.

Evans scored for Man Utd with 90 seconds remaining. They only want one more.

Maybe they just don’t, maybe they just do?

This is coming from a corner! The South Korean turns out to have scored the goal Tottenham dreamed of.

It is an exhibition of terror from the Tottenham goalkeeper.

Forster takes too long on a clearance and Amad manages to close it out, deflecting his clearance towards the goal.

Man Utd smells of blood.

Zirkzee, who came off the bench, has just controlled the deficit in north London.

Forster didn’t cover himself in glory as Man Utd were able to give themselves a glimmer of hope.

3-1 for the locals.

It’s all over in north London when Solanke scores the goal of the night.

They already have Man Utd 3-0 this season and Tottenham are ready to do it again.

It took them less than 60 seconds and Kulusevski was all over this game.

Madison sent a low cross, which he only partially cleared, and fell at the feet of the Swede, who finished for the first time.

The hosts kick-off and are 45 minutes away from a semi-final.

The home side took the lead at half-time thanks to Solanke’s opening goal.

The game remains well balanced despite Man Utd having moments, but has not yet bothered Forster in the Tottenham goal.

Kulusevski, Madison and company are taking the risk on the other end of the line.

He was on the scoresheet when Tottenham beat Man Utd at Old Trafford several weeks ago, and he’s on the goal again.

Tottenham remained on the rise after their first goal.

Fernandes has been the brightest of Man Utd’s players as he looks to get back into the game.

Kulusevski had a chance to double Tottenham’s lead, but his effort at the near post was well saved.

Tottenham takes the lead when Solanke scores for the fourth time in a row for Man Utd.

Porro shot from distance and saved, but Solanke reacted faster and the home side took the lead in the 15th minute.

Man Utd get us underway as we await to see who our final semi-finalist will be.

For Man Utd, there are outbursts of positivity, Amorim, and caring deeply in a tournament would go a long way toward team morale.

Tottenham, well, the wait is well documented. Lately we have been 16 years since a trophy was won, soon it will be 17.

It is well known that Tottenham’s last trophy was won at this festival in 2008.

But a year later, they were lucky enough to retain their crown, losing to Man Utd.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s men held their nerve when the game went to penalties after a 0-0 draw – eventually winning 4-1 in the shootout.

The Australian said: “I haven’t said it a few times, but if you ask me a question, I’ll answer it. So if you ask me a hundred times, I’ll answer it a hundred times, but he doesn’t walk around with signs that say, ‘I win things in my second year. ” But ask me and I’ll give you the answer and it is what it is.

The new manager will build on the dramatic victory over Manchester City on Sunday as the Red Devils look to rebuild their season with a semi-final appearance.

Amorim has claimed that overlooking Rashford has nothing to do with his recent interview, where he opened the door to a possible exit.

Asked about his striker, he said: “The selection. I chose the players who I think are in a position to face the demands to play a strong game. “

Arsenal and Newcastle are possibly at other stages of development, but either of them can win the Carabao Cup.

The Gunners are likely to want more as Mikel Arteta chases the trophy that can also take his team to bigger things.

Newcastle meanwhile are looking to prove they have truly joined the big time as years of Saudi investment – and this could be the tournament that does that.

Liverpool’s good fortune at this festival last season was Jurgen Klopp’s last trophy as manager.

Arne Slot will hope to continue that success, but some big hitters are still in the hunt, such as Arsenal and Tottenham.
