KANSAS CITY, Missouri (AP) – St. Louis Cardinals removed outfielder Dexter Fowler and right Giovanny Gallegos from the disabled list in a series of lineup moves ahead of their three-game series against the Kansas City Royals on Monday night.
The Cardinals also chose outfielder Justin Williams and lawman Nabil Crismatt in his exchange practice and named the right Roel Ramirez for assignment.
Fowler tied for 4 home runs and had 18 RBIs when he placed on the disabled list on September 2 to face abdominal illness. The three-week closure allowed him to stick to a drug regimen that would have made him more vulnerable to coronavirus if exposed.
Gallegos missed the minimum of 10 days due to a groin injury. He has a record 4 out of 4 in detention opportunities with an MPM of 3. 97, and is likely to share the final duties with Andrew Miller, who withtoyed the ninth inning in his absence.
