Carlo Ancelotti has recently laid down a huge challenge for Everton forward Richarlison.
The Brazilian, after one season with Watford, joined Everton in the summer of 2018.
And Richarlison has since gone on to establish himself as a pivotal member of the Toffees’ frontline.
Whilst he is more than capable of playing on either flank, Richarlison is now largely plying his trade as a centre-forward.
And, to his credit, the former Fluminense man’s goalscoring exploits have certainly improved this term.
In 40 outings across 2019/20, Richarlison has netted 15 times, his best goalscoring campaign in England to date.
However, as mentioned above, Carlo Ancelotti is evidently keen for the hitman to improve that tally a great deal.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports News, the Italian challenged Richarlison to score 30 goals in a single season:
“I think Richarlison is wrong to say that the target will be 20. The target doesn’t have to be 20 for him. It should as a minimum be 30.
“I’ve had strikers that were able to score 60 goals in a season – it doesn’t matter the name [Cristiano Ronaldo scored 61 goals in all competitions for Real Madrid in 2014/15].
“But even in England, Didier Drogba scored 29 goals in one Premier League season alone. So the target for Richarlison will be 30 – not 20.”

Elsewhere on the Everton front, the Merseyside outfit have been linked with a Manchester United player.
The man in question is the Red Devils’ current No.2, Sergio Romero.
According to ESPN, the Argentine is wanted by both Everton and Leeds, with the former said to be keen to secure fresh competition for Jordan Pickford.
And whilst no potential fee is touted by ESPN for Romero, he is 33 and out of contract next summer, suggesting he wouldn’t exactly demand a premium sum.
It has also recently been reported that Romero is eyeing a transfer, after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s refusal to drop David de Gea.
And with Dean Henderson now on the rise, one would imagine that Romero’s already-limited opportunities at United will take yet another hit when/if the Englishman returns to Old Trafford.
