Yesterday Carlo Ancelotti said James Rodriguez would injure Everton’s holiday against Southampton on Sunday.

Ancelotti had a much more positive outlook (Friday) after seeing the Colombian train, and said he could be in the fight for the weekend.

“He trained today, just a part-education session. I hope you practice and we’ll see if it has compatibility to play on Sunday.
“It’s better now, and we’re sure I could play. “
It’s a radical change and if Rodriguez is fit, it would reinforce Ancelotti’s hopes of winning over the weekend.
Rodríguez has galvanized the club since he joined, just like Bruno Fernandes has done at Manchester United.
With Richarlison already suspended, converting to both ends and wasting two-thirds of his 3 frantic strikers would have been a blow to Ancelotti.
Even if it has compatibility for a cameo at the bank, it would give Southampton a cause for concern.
