Carragher: Chelsea’s summer expenses are enough to challenge the Premier League

Chelsea have gone through the Premier League’s top active team in the moving window this summer.

The Blues, who had spent cash on the last two windows and financed through the recent sales of Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata, are now in a smart position to show monetary strength.

And so far, that’s exactly what they’ve done.

First, Chelsea signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax in February for 33. 3 million pounds.

Frank Lampard’s men then nailed Liverpool’s long-standing target, Timo Werner, for forty-five million pounds in June.

Since then, Werner’s arrival has been temporarily followed by the signing of 50 million pounds through Ben Chilwell, the 71 million-pound coup d’ve been taken through Kai Havertz and the arrival of loose agents of Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr.

These new faces, combined with Chelsea’s already promising team, full of academy skills, should, at least in the role, see the Blues take on a name challenge in 2020/21.

Londoners finished 33 tracks, Premier League winners, Liverpool, last time, and 15 tracks, Manchester City.

But with such an advanced squad available to Frank Lampard, it could be assumed that Chelsea will particularly reduce the gap in Liverpool, especially considering the fact that the Reds have signed a single player so far in the summer.

However, one user who has no chance of the Blues is Jamie Carragher.

The former Liverpool defender recently said he still considers Liverpool and Manchester City to be the ones who will compete for the Name of the Premier League next season, with a ‘too big’ hole for Chelsea or Manchester United:

“I see it as Liverpool and City.

“There’s too much room to close for Chelsea and United to win 25, 30 points. “

“There’s too much hole to fill.

Carragher warns that Chelsea’s movement “is not enough to enter the name race. “Https://t. co/Dz1rfSenhE
