Celtic are close to finalizing Adam Idah’s move, and it is possible that the deal will close within DAYS

CELTIC are the latest to agree a deal for Norwich City striker Adam Idah.

The Canary Islands bosses have already rejected a £4m offer for Parkhead’s loanee star of the season.

But Norwich are hoping that an agreement will soon be reached to bring Idah back to Celtic, potentially in time for Sunday’s Premiership opener against Kilmarnock.

The Irishman is expected to be disciplined through the championship club after failing to fly to Austria for a pre-season camp.

The 23-year-old is said to be in favour of returning from Celtic and further discussions between the clubs are expected in the coming days.

Idah had instant good fortune after joining the Hoops in January and boss Brendan Rodgers needs him on a permanent deal.

Carrow Road boss Johannes Hoff Thorup revealed he will take internal action on Idah for “not following rules” ahead of the squad’s trip to Austria.

The Canary Islands faced Germany’s Hoffenheim in a friendly on Monday, but the Republic of Ireland striker appeared and sat in the stands.

Hoff Thorup said: “With Adam there are some internal problems, as he was late for Sunday’s flight to Austria.

“We had to come as temporarily as possible.

“But of course I couldn’t be part of this game because there are some things we can settle for and some we can’t.

“And that is something we cannot accept. ”

Idah has hinted at his preference for returning to Parkhead throughout the summer.

In particular, when he saw him on vacation with his Hoops friend James Forrest, and then last week when he posted a love-center emoji on social media after the Celts’ friendly win over Chelsea in the United States.
