Elena Sadiku felt her look of the Celtic FC women was the dominant force in what was a disjointed, goalless first half in the Sky Sports semi-final as opposed to the Rangers women on the afternoon at New Douglas Park. . .
The main theme of the discussion seemed to be the functionality of the referee Abbie Hendry, which seemed to be suffering with the basic legislation of the game, with its resolution basically taking Celts. Two shameless offenses that may have won without problems were absolutely ignored through Hendry, to the point of the house in Hamilton.
Not that it made a big difference to the result, however, if women’s football is to develop, this refereeing point cannot be tolerated. There was a penalty for Celtic which falls well into the “I saw them given” category, but as we can expect, there was nothing to be done.
The Sadiku team’s part -time convention was through the window, while Kelly Clark decided to leave a crossroads in a corner and allowed Río Hardy to draw a nearby diversity after the restart. Things went from bad to worse moments later, when part -time replacement, Colette Cavaghan, penalized and reserved, for having won the ball just outdoors on the surface of the Celtic penalty.
Logan took wonderful care setting up the Celtic wall and seemed too trapped through the side. Mins at the time in the half, Celtic 2-0 down.
The Rangers manager then shown a red card for keeping the ball as Celtic rejection, Elena Sadiku then received a yellow for her existing complaints, yet on the park, the Theangers saw the semi-final comfortably with little genuine risk coming to their way.
In the last stages, Emma Lawton withdrew one for Celtic, however, it is a case of too past and the women of Celtic FC were removed from Sky Sports Cup through Theangers in the staging stadium of stars.
The Rangers will face Hibs in the final, but for Celtic the concentration will have to be in the last hole in the most sensible SWPL1, where the Glasgow City is lately well located. The commendable efforts of the Celtic in the Champions League were A factor, but with that and the Sky Sports Cup, the team will have to concentrate on keeping the name and perhaps also adding some glory in the Scotland Cup.
They will have to play a lot more to make all of this happen, starting with the game against Hearts on Friday.
Here’s Elena Sadiku’s post-match interview with Celtic TV. . .
