The Green Brigade has outlined its plans for a “day of action” as it continues its feud with Celtic.
The ultras group, which does not agree with the club, has been informed that its two hundred members have had their season tickets suspended indefinitely due to an “increasingly serious escalation of unacceptable behaviour and non-compliance with current regulations”, following the players’ segment showed their support for Palestine in recent weeks, adding a Champions League match against Atletico Madrid. The Green Brigade was a hot topic at Celtic’s Annual General Meeting this week, and the two sides appeared to be no closer to a resolution.
Celtic Park’s North Curve segment has promised a “day of action” if the dispute is resolved before Saturday’s clash against Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership, and it looks like the organisation is planning to be at the stadium. A message from the organisation’s Twitter account states that they will “welcome the team” to Celtic Way ahead of the match.
The time was set for 1:15 p. m. before 3 p. m. It began after Parkhead bosses claimed that some members of the organization were seeking to distance themselves from the section. A member of the Green Brigade who announced the “day of action” earlier this month said, “Following the latest review by the LPC Board of Directors, I would like to address a few brief points. We don’t see the point in continuing this game of online statement-tennis, which was initiated through the LPC Board of Directors, and which continues to claim by repeating the same fallacious claims we have already mentioned.
“We note that PLC’s board of directors claims to be open to discussion and compromise. We remind you that since the summer we have been waiting for a meeting with CEO Michael Nicholson. The meeting planned for the summer was first postponed until September to allow for a “Focus on project progression” meeting. We look forward to acceptable progress on both fronts and remain open to constructive discussion in the future. “
“If our own scenario is satisfactorily resolved through Celtic vs. Motherwell, on 25/11/23 we will host a day of action in that game. We will be reaching out to all interested Celtic fans, fan teams and CSCs prior to this date. “
