Chris Sutton convinced Adam Idah that this is what Celtic want at the moment.
The Republic of Ireland striker will reportedly join the Scottish champions on loan from Norwich before the January transfer window closes on Thursday.
It is understood that Brendan Rodgers is looking to secure the services of the 22-year-old until the end of the season, with an option to buy permanently after that.

However, Hoops legend Sutton, who has made over a hundred appearances for Norwich, does not believe Idah is “an improvement” on current Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu.
He wrote on Twitter: “If this is true I’m not sure with the greatest respect it’s an upgrade on Oh… Idah needs to get away from Norwich and has potential but has had potential for years but he’s 100% in the development category and a long way from the finished article.”
Celtic are on the verge of beating a variety of English and European teams to seal the deal. Idah, who has 20 caps for Ireland, has made 34 appearances for the Canaries in the English league. There is still a chance to move to Scotland for a chance to win titles.
Idah has seven goals for the Canaries, but he is among the most productive strikers in the league in terms of shooting accuracy and expected shots xG. Idah has made it clear to Norwich manager David Wagner that he needs to move to Scotland before other English and European league options, adding Hellas Verona.
Norwich City have been linked with a loan deal from Sydney Van Hooijdonk from Bologna. The striker arrived at Celtic but was not taken any further.
Celtic will close a deal for Idah before the deadline and will also strengthen other areas, adding the left-back position. The Hoops are also in talks with Gwangju about signing Jung Ho-yeon. Meanwhile, reports in Italy claim that Gustaf Lagerbielke’s loan to Leece has been blocked. Celtic are said to have halted the Swedish defender’s move due to an injury to Cameron Carter-Vickers.
