Sky have announced their most recent picks for the Scottish Premiership for broadcast and the Edinburgh derby is being rejected again.
After plans to capture Hibs boss Nick had to be scrapped for the December clash at Easter Road, the broadcaster has now opted for Motherwell’s break at Livingston on Wednesday February 28 as a live match , with the Hibees across town at Tynecastle to take on Hearts. the same night. The network was forced to suspend the programming of the last capital match, won by Hearts 1-0, due to disorders in the microphone and frame camera that the assistant Sergio Raimundo had to carry.
After the derby was sidetracked several times before the big push for the festive match, it now looks like enthusiasts will have to get a ticket or buy a PPV stream to watch the action. Meanwhile, Celtic’s trip to Tynecastle has been postponed.
The clash in the capital will now take place on Sunday, March 3 kicking off at 12 noon. Brendan Rodgers’ team will be looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Jambos at Parkhead last month.
It’s a similar story last week for the champions, who will now travel to Fir Park to play Motherwell on Sunday, Feb. 25, and will also have a midday kickoff. The Rangers’ holiday to St Johnstone will start at the same time a week ago, while St Mirren’s holiday north to face Ross County will now start at 8pm. Tuesday, February 27.
