Ajeti joined the Hammers a year ago, however, his three starts have all been in cup competitions and he has failed to score in 12 appearances. He was the swiss league’s most sensible scorer in the 2017–18 season and played alongside Celtic winger Mohamed Elyounoussi.
Coach Neil Lennon said: “We are very happy to bring Albian to Celtic. He is a wonderful player, a foreigner with a genuine quality and I know he is determined to do everything he can to bring more good fortune to our fans.”
“I have admired him for a long time because he is a wise, balanced footballer and a very wise finisher. We are very pleased to make him a Celtic player and hope he has a long and successful career with us.” .
Ajeti revealed that Lennon and Elyounoussi had stressed him to make the move, but that he had little persuasion.
“I played elyounoussi with me the day in Basel,” he told Celtic’s website.
“He’s a smart guy and I’m pleased that we have the chance to play in combination again. He called me and texted me several texts, knew my stage and knows me as a player. He tried to convince me to come here. , but it wasn’t necessary!
“On the field, I hope you can help me with some goals. We played very well in combination, our stay in Basel, we controlled in combination, he helped me, I assisted him and I’m actually looking to bet with him. Again.
He added: “The coach’s breath is also a great component of my coming here. As a footballer, especially as a striker, you want confidence. I’m glad the coach called me, helped me come and make a signal for Celtic.
