Chargers Head Coaching Search with . . . Jason Garrett?

The Los Angeles Chargers have everything from head coach Anthony Lynn to THE NFL’s Black Monday.

A few hours later, however, several reports that Jason Garrett would be among the interviewees to update him.

Garrett, who served as offensive coordinator for the New York Giants in 2020, is probably the most productive known for his 10-year tenure with the Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, Garrett has been criticized by his under-performance groups after starting the organization in 2011.

As you may remember, Garrett did not return to the Cowboys in 2020 when Dallas hired head coach Mike McCarthy.

Garrett had an impressive record in Dallas, with an 85-67 record, however, the Cowboys have won two of the five postseason games they have played under his leadership.

Garrett also didn’t have much good luck as an offensive coordinator under Joe Judge last season. The Giants were penultimate in the league in yards and points.

We believe that the Chargers’ head coach position is one of the most productive in the league, making this progression even more interesting. Again, it’s not like an interview means the Chargers would move on to Garrett.
