Charlotte FC announces the return of Pep Biel del Olympiacos | Unfootball

Charlotte FC announced Pep Biel’s return on Monday after agreeing to a season-long loan deal with Greek club Olympiacos.

The midfielder of the 28-year-old Spanish striker returned to the United States, after being presented in MLS Club times.

During his first with the club, Bienne collected two goals and 3 assists in all competitions.

Having played for various European giants, Charlotte will hope his reintroduction helps the team improve from their fifth-place finish in the Eastern Conference table.

“We look for PEP to return to the club in 2025 and we are extremely cheerful to finish a loan that will bring it back to Charlotte, where he played an important role last season,” said General Manager Zoran Krneta.

“Pep showed his versatility last year and gave us additional flexibility in our attacking options. He will have a full pre-season with Dean and the rest of the team, and we are excited to have him back on the pitch this week.

He has registered 55 goals and 44 assists in 288 career games, including for Olympiacos, FC Copenhagen and FC Augsburg.

Additionally, the club confirmed Biel will not occupy a Designated Player slot and instead will occupy an international roster slot.
