Chattanooga assistant coach fired by derogatory tweet addressed to Stacey Abrams

Chattanooga’s assistant football coach Chris Malone was fired Thursday morning for a derogatory tweet addressed to Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams who has since been eliminated.

Malone’s original tweet Tuesday night read, “Congratulations to the state attorney general and Fat Albert @staceyabrams because they showed America the genuine cheating works in an election, back!I hope the money is good, not yet governor!”

After verifying that malone’s tweet, Malone’s university and sports branch got rid of his position on the football team, his bio page has already been removed from the sports branch website.

Abrams is a former candidate for governor and voting rights activist who helped bring the electorate together in Georgia by the time of the Senate. Democratic candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff gradually defeated Republican incumbents Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.

“Last night, I was struck by a completely out-of-place message on social media from a member of our football team,” Chattanooga’s athletics director Mark Wharton said. The feelings in this message do not constitute the values of our football program, our descomponentment athletics or our university. Malone was hired through the Mocs in 2019 as an offensive line coach, his moment at Chattanooga. In the past he held positions at Old Dominion, James Madison, Virginia State and UMass. He was a four-year incumbent on the offensive line in Virginia. Technology in the 1990s.
