Chelsea are in crisis after defeat at Arsenal with a home draw from Aston Villa on Monday night. Blues defenseman Ben Chilwell talked about Frank Lampard’s talk in the locker room, admitting that the former midfielder had noticed an improvement last night.
Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell has revealed that Frank Lampard is satisfied with his team after his functionality in Monday night’s 1–1 draw with Aston Villa.
Les Bleus could only add one point in their clash with Villa, while Olivier Giroud’s first game was canceled with a draw from Anwar El Ghazi.
This is the time in successive matches when Chelsea have lost points, having also lost to Arsenal 3-1 last weekend.
According to The Athletic, Lampard “lost” to his men at half-time and opposed his players to his interview with the Emirates team.
While Chilwell insists Lampard wasn’t thrilled with just one point Monday, his boss was pleased with the replacement in mindset.
“He’s happier than the day,” England’s left-back told Chelsea’s official website.
“It’s a tie at home and we won those games, but the effort and functionality were much greater in this game.

“The most important mentality we expected is better.
“I know it’s disappointing that we’ve tied up, but we need to look at the positives. 48 hours later, after a poor performance, we played well and showed a smart character.
Chilwell prepared Giroud’s first game with a good center, which brought his general pass to this season.
And he says he’s happy to be able to move forward further with the existing system.

“I know what we need to play at Chelsea is for the sides to come together,” Chilwell added.
“I have this license that when I get ahead, I know the midfielders will.
“I like to move forward, but the priority is to defend, but when I have the opportunity to move forward, I do.
